Benjamin Jones

Benjamin Jones is an Assistant Professor at UMass-Amherst department of art. He is both a gifted teacher and maker of sculptures. Ben Jones believes it is important to be physically involved in the making of art and he carefully fabricates and welds even the most complicated of pieces by hand. However, it is Benjamin Jones’ interest and talent in digital design and composition on the computer that sets him apart. This combination of skillsets, technological and tactile, makes Benjamin Jones a powerful communicator of ideas.
