What is now a collectible work of Animation art was once simply a frame in a series of frames, sometime as many a 27 per second, that, when filmed in sequence, gave life to characters like Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, Fred Flintstone and the Pink Panther to name but a few. Each frame was first hand-drawn on paper and then hand-painted onto cellulose or clear acetate by a team of dedicated and talented artists. The resulting images were then filmed, one frame at a time against hand-painted background imagery.

This artwork was originally seen as little more than a byproduct of the final movie and much vintage animation art was lost or destroyed many years ago. Thus, original production animation art is very rare and highly prized today.
