Bihari Csongor (1961- )
Bihari Csongor, alternately known as CSOT (his painting signature), was born in 1961 in the town of Kaposvar, Hungary. From an early age he began trying to express his ideas and feelings through drawing and painting. Certain that he needed to continue creating, Csongor attended art school in the town of Siofok, on the southern bank of Lake Balaton.
While in art school, Bihari Csongor began exhibiting his work individually, later taking part in a group exhibition. In addition to his fine art studies, Csongor became a member of a study circle through which he studied art history, in particular, the Old Masters.
As an adult, the artist decided to specialize in the painting of animals and nature, particularly in barn settings. Now a practiced professional artist, Csongor now strives to create work that unites classical and modern elements through these scenes.
